ABOUT ME
I am Hungarian, was born and raised in Ethiopia, and have been lucky to call Canada, Arizona, and Italy home over the years. I live on the island of Maui, working independently as a graphic designer.
My design career was launched with a diploma in Visual Communication Design from Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. Soon after, my family won the Green Card Lottery and we moved to the United States, where I furthered my education with a B.A. in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Phoenix. During my time there, I landed a full time position at a well-known advertising agency while I was still finishing my degree.
After a few years as Production Designer, I moved from Phoenix to Rome to follow my passion for Italian culture. During the four years I lived in Rome I learned to speak Italian and worked as an Art Director at a local advertising agency, taking daily inspiration from the art, culture and food at my fingertips.
I later returned to Arizona to work as an Art Director at Isagenix International where I was inspired to build my own design business and Petrafied Designs was born. As I grew my client base, I was fortunate to spend an unforgettable summer in the Basque Country of Northern Spain where I learned to speak Spanish fluently while working remotely. Soon after, the beautiful island of Maui called to me, where I’ve been living for the last ten years and happily married.
